I find it difficult to select a single spiritual leader who has had the greatest impact on my life. Fulton Sheen, Robert Shuler, Charles Stanley and several priests who were of great impact on my life.
Norman Vincent Peale and his writing clarified for me how much God really loves us and that he is with us through our every difficulty and adversity. Peale continually provides hope, peace and strength through his wisdom and Gods word. Peale’s life was an example of service and hope in our almighty God. We are not in this alone unless we choose to be.
One of my favorite books and audio tapes by Dr. Peale is “How to make Positive Imaging work for you.” The book shares the lessons Peale put to work in his own life.
His inspirational passages gave me great courage in my early years as a businessman, when I felt alone he would remind me I am not alone and that I can do all things by the grace of God. I know man cannot function well by himself but with God involved in all of our endeavors we have greater peace, joy and productivity; a life with purpose that really means something.
In the area of spiritual leadership this is thought is a daily reminder for me.
